Introduction
A different version of cheesecake! An easy-to-make recipe for a delicious, fluffy cheesecake with notes of kum quat!
Base ingredients
- 250gr. Biscuits (digestive type) broken into pieces
- 100gr. melted butter
- Orange zest
Filling ingredients
- 300gr. cream cheese (type Philadelphia cheese)
- 180gr. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 250gr. heavy cream
- 1 tbsp zest of kum quat and orange mixed.
Method
- In a 20cm springform pan mix and press all the base ingredients, so that the surface becomes flat. Chill in the freezer, uncovered, for 10 minutes or so.
- Whisk together the cheese, flour, and sugar. Slowly mix the eggs one at a time and then the cream until the filling is well blended but fluffy.
- Pour the filling into the baked crust and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour.
- Garnish with candied pieces of orange and slices of fresh kumquat.
