Moist Chocolate Cake with Kumquat by pastry chef Stelios Parliaros
Introduction
A moist chocolate cake that melts in your mouth by the famous pastry chef Stelios Parliaros. It is served with Lazaris Kum Quat Spoon Sweet that gives an extra delicious note.
The recipe was made for the TV show “Sweet Alchemies Travel” – Episode 16: Corfu (4/05/19) on SKAI TV.

Ingredients
- 250gr. almond powder
- 250gr. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 250gr. butter
- 50gr. Lazaris Kum Quat liqueur
- 250gr. dark chocolate 55%
- 1 jar Lazaris Kumquat Spoon Sweet
Method
Melt slowly dark chocolate with butter in a bain-marie pan. Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Then add chocolate stirring. Add almond powder and Lazaris Kum Quat Liqueur. Grease and sprinkle with flour a 24cm cake tin and pour the mixture. Preheat the oven at 170ο C, and bake for 50 min. Wait 10 min to cool down. Place it on a wire rack and let it to cool in room temperature. Serve with Lazaris Kum Quat Spoon Sweet.
